Talisman - Scarab Necklace

$57.77

This is a listing for one scarab talisman necklace. This pair of encased, real Jewel beetle elytra (wing casings) are hung from a necklace made of dyed blue leather with an easy, bayonet clasp. Many civilizations and cultures honored insects like beetles because of their abilities to recycle and break down bio material. Additionally, their natural life cycles require complete metamorphosis at different stages all while they use or consume waste, the bodies of people and animals, or plants. They were seen as symbols of spirit transformation made possible by reincarnating/rebirthing on Earth.

The wings featured here come from the Sternocera aequisignata, or Jewel beetle, which come from Southeast Asia. Their subfamily is Julodinae. Most scarabs from ancient Asia, for example, were from the family Scarabaeidae and includedung beetlesJune beetlesrhinoceros beetlesHercules beetles and Goliath beetles.

This talisman is meant for practicing witches and healers who wish to attract high vibrational people and events that encourage karmic transformation. Trinidad enchanted and consecrated this talisman using Water Serpent Dharma sorcery at the Dragon Mountain monastery in California.

This necklace is 18 inches and hangs just below the collar bones (not depicted). The beetle wings are visible from both sides of the pendant.
