This is a fairy, anito, or diwata figurine carved from green aventurine. Aventurine is a type of shimmering quartz. Trinidad imagines this piece as the many-eyed goddess of vision (including psychic vision) from her motherland of the Philippines named Dalikmata. Trinidad met this goddess as a child in her first avatar form, a green moth. Trinidad believes Dalikmata is the same as the Hindu-Buddhist deity Tara.
