Note from the artist: This piece is very special to me. I am one of seven sisters. The sister closest to me in age died a few years after I was adopted and left the Philippines. I still feel connected to her. I believe that the afterlife exists right here beside our living bodies. This piece is calling someone who has experienced the death of a loved one. May you enjoy your days with those who have passed by offering them food, music, incense, artwork, and kind words.
